Paul Daffurn’s new material is a departure from his previous songs which were mostly written allowing for the additional input of amplified bands with Greg Ridley, 30 Seconds & Lucyhouse. There is more subtlety in the content and a closer intimacy in the delivery of these often deeply personal songs. However, the intensity behind the lyrics and performance is undiminished and the passion has been distilled rather than diluted.
